Thomas Stanley Clark volunteered for service on May 20th 1916. He served with the Eaton Machine Gun Battery through out his war service being awarded the Military Medal (15 October 1916) and Bar (23 November 1917) then being promoted to Lieutenant. Discharged January 1920.
Military Medal citation-
Was wounded while dressing the wounds of one of his men but remained in charge of the ammunition carrying party until ordered to the dressing station by his officer, showing courage, resolution and devotion to duty.
Bar to Military Medal citation-
During the 9th and 10th-11-17 near Passchendale when the battery ammunition supply was very low he volunteered to load three successive carrying parties through a heavy enemy barrage and a sea of mud a distance of seven hundred yards thus enabling the Battery to continue firing.
